An operating table (O.T table), is the table on which the patient lies during a surgical operation.
O.T table is usually found inside an operation theatre of a hospital.

• The height of an operating table must be adjustable.
• It must be possible to tilt the table to the left and to the right.
• The individual operating table segments must also be adjustable.
• A further property of the operating table top is radiolucency, that is it must be complete transparent to X-rays or other form of radiations.
• Accurate positions should be achieved with easy mechanical operation.
